    Sister Mary Agnes McCann Scholarship Application

    The Sister Mary Agnes McCann Scholarship was established in 1926 by the Alumnae Association of Mount St. Vincent-Mount St. Joseph Academies in honor of Sister Mary Agnes McCann. The Alumnae Association awards scholarships to those students who meet eligibility requirements and are recommended by an alumna from either academy. Amounts of the awards vary each year.

    Eligibility:
    • Any new entering student who is a relative of a Mount St. Vincent Academy (1854-1927) - Mount St. Joseph Academy (1906-1947) Alumna (not Mount St. Joseph University aka College of Mount St. Joseph).
    Application Process: 
    • If possible have an alumna sponsor submit a typed letter of recommendation. Submit this letter to the Office of Admission, by January 31:

      • Mail to: Mount St. Joseph University Office of Admission, 5701 Delhi Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45233 (Postmarked by January 31)
    • Applicant submits a typewritten essay, 500 words or less, stating why application for the scholarship is being made and how education at the Mount will benefit him/her. High school honors, awards, recognitions and extracurricular activities should be included.
    Restrictions: 
    • The scholarship may be renewed up to eight (8) consecutive semesters or four (4) years, provided the recipient is enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student.
    COMPLETED APPLICATIONS ARE DUE JANUARY 31. APPLICATIONS ARE COMPLETE ONLY WHEN ALL MATERIALS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

    Scholarship awards are made at the sole discretion of Mount St. Joseph University.  By submitting this scholarship application, applicants, on behalf of themselves and their parents, guardians, spouses, heirs, and assigns (as applicable), waive any and all claims against Mount St. Joseph University and its employees, officers, directors, representatives, and volunteers related to, in connection with, or arising from applying for this scholarship, including, but not limited to, a decision that results in applicant not receiving a scholarship in any amount.
