    Moore-Eckel Scholarship Application

    The Moore-Eckel Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Mount alumna Sharron Moore Eckel, a life-long teacher, and her brother Harold Hollaender Moore, an advertising executive, both lifetime residents of Ohio. The $1,500 award is presented each year to students who meet eligibility requirements and major in education, business, or art.

    Eligibility:
    • Any new first-year student who has been accepted at the Mount.
    • Majoring in education, business, or art (must include portfolio if majoring in art).
    • Demonstrates academic talent and the ability to maintain a 3.0 grade point average while at the Mount. Scholarship is renewable up to eight (8) consecutive semesters, provided the recipient is enrolled as a full time undergraduate, continues to major in education, business, or art, and maintains a 3.0 GPA.
    ART PORTFOLIOS ARE DUE JANUARY 15. ALL OTHER COMPLETED APPLICATIONS ARE DUE JANUARY 31. APPLICATIONS ARE COMPLETE ONLY WHEN ALL MATERIALS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

    Scholarship awards are made at the sole discretion of Mount St. Joseph University.  By submitting this scholarship application, applicants, on behalf of themselves and their parents, guardians, spouses, heirs, and assigns (as applicable), waive any and all claims against Mount St. Joseph University and its employees, officers, directors, representatives, and volunteers related to, in connection with, or arising from applying for this scholarship, including, but not limited to, a decision that results in applicant not receiving a scholarship in any amount.
