Bachelor in Science of Nursing (BSN) Scholarship Application 2025
The Bachelor in Science of Nursing (BSN) Scholarship is awarded annually to three eligible high school students, directly admitted to the undergraduate nursing program. The scholarship totals $10,000, and $2,500 will be distributed over four academic years, beginning the student's first year at the University.
Two nursing endowments support funding for the BSN Scholarship. Additional information about the Catherine Relihan and Stella Hastings endowments is on the Department of Nursing's website.
To be eligible for the scholarship, candidates and recipients must:
Be a high school student directly admitted to the undergraduate nursing program.
Maintain full-time enrollment status in the undergraduate nursing program.
Have a cumulative grade point average greater than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Submit an application and essay describing their personal, professional, and leadership development aspirations.
Scholarship recipients will receive an award letter notifying them of the nursing department's decision.
Applicants must submit an application and a 500-word essay describing their aspirations for personal and professional development in the nursing program and leadership activities completed beyond coursework.
COMPLETED APPLICATIONS ARE DUE JANUARY 31. APPLICATIONS ARE COMPLETE ONLY WHEN ALL MATERIALS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
