    Mission Ambassador Award Application

    The Mission Ambassador Program supports students who are passionate about leadership, service, and living out the values of Mount St. Joseph University. Rooted in the legacy of the Sisters of Charity, this program invites students to grow as servant leaders through community engagement, spiritual reflection, and a deeper understanding of the Mount’s mission. Mission Ambassadors develop their voice and purpose while building a strong foundation in ethical leadership, faith exploration, and service to others. 
     
    Individuals selected as Mission Ambassadors receive a $2,000 annual award of $1,000 per semester, renewable for up to eight (8) consecutive fall/spring semesters, provided the recipient is enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at the Mount, maintains a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average, and is actively involved in Mission Ambassador programming.    
     
    Criteria to be considered for the award: 

    • Admitted unconditionally to Mount St. Joseph University for Fall 2026 with a 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average in high school or from a transferring institution;  
    • Exhibit an openness to persons of other faith traditions; 
    • Submit a Letter of Recommendation from a former teacher, employer, or mentor who confirms your leadership abilities (letters from family or friends do not meet this criterion); and
    • Submit a personal essay (up to 300 words). Write a personal statement sharing your thoughts on servant leadership and how your values align with those of Mount St. Joseph University.
